The State Government on Monday announced major easing of restrictions, which includes shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés to open from 11:59pm on Tuesday, 27th October, allowing 50 people outdoors and 20 people indoors, subject to spacing rules of one person per two square metres.
Beauty service can also re-open, where people can wear facemasks.
All the affected businesses will have a ‘dark opening’ on Tuesday 27th October, allowing staff to prepare for trading on Wednesday.
From 11:59pm on 8th November, gyms and fitness studios in Melbourne will open, with a maximum of 20 people per space or one person per eight square metres
Restaurants, pubs and cafés will move to an outdoor maximum of 70 people, with one person in every two square metres and an indoor maximum of 40 people, with 10 people per space.

The Victorian Government announced on Sunday 27th September that we are once again permitted to hold private inspections. This is very exciting news and we are working closely to adhere to all guidelines while showing you through our new properties.
Under the Second Step easing of restrictions, private inspections for purchase or leasing of properties can recommence from 11:59 pm Sunday 27 September 2020.
Relaxing of the restrictions that have stopped Victorians buying, selling or leasing their property will see a slow and gradual return to real estate transactions in Melbourne, which we know is a huge relief to our buyers, sellers and tenants alike. Yes. You are able to move house during Stage 4 Restrictions within curfew hours, if you had made arrangements to relocate. You are advised to take extra steps to stay safe including wearing a face covering.
Please contact the property’s selling agent or Property Manager to make the necessary, contact-free, arrangements.
Private inspections are on hold until further notice from the State Government. Properties can still be inspected via virtual tours and online walk throughs.
From the safety of your computer or phone screen, you can view and explore each room of the property to give you a sense of its flow.
We have digitised our sales and leasing contracts, legal documents and forms including allowances for digital signatures. This means properties can be easily leased or bought and sold remotely.
